Kaling is a printed titmouse mango wood serving platter .


This gorgeous serving platter is made of mango wood and has been printed by skilled artisans from Moradabad. Found in tropical regions like India, Southeast Asia, Mexico, Brazil and even Australia, mango wood is the perfect alternative to traditional wood.
A hardwood with dense grains, it has the strength to bear heavy weights but is still soft enough to work with. It is also durable enough to withstand the wear and tear of time. Mango wood is fundamentally a byproduct of the fruit industry. Oak trees take 50 years to grow, but Mango trees grow in just 15 years. When the mango plantations get too tall to harvest the fruit, the trees are cut down and a new batch is grown. The mango farmers then sell this wood and acquire some extra income. This cycle of the plantation makes mango wood sustainable
