Jia is a handwoven & tufted smokey rug .

A celebration of textures and techniques, this brilliantly designed Thirty6 Rooms rug is spruced with jacquard weave, handmade tufts, tassels and stellar threadwork! Crafted from pure cotton with an urbane color palette, it is a picture of sheer elegance and is sure to make a statement! With careful needlework all along, the tufted details on the rug are done by punching clusters or loops of yarn through the fabric with the help of a needle to create the embossed look.

The complex play of textures is a result of skilful hand weaving done by artisans from North India comprising a strenuous process that requires seamless rhythm and coordination. The creation process may be unhurried as compared to its machine-made equivalent; however, the final product bears that unique artisanal punch of exclusivity!
